Features
Calcium Fluoride Substrates
CaF2 beamsplitters are an ideal material for applications in the IR region. In general, CaF2 has a transmission above 90% between 0.25 µm and 7 µm, making it a great choice for deep UV to infrared applications. In addition, with its low absorption and high damage threshold, CaF2 is commonly used for excimer laser applications.
Deep UV to IR Applications
Calcium Fluoride is transparent in the UV and Visible wavelength ranges, making it suitable for applications such as fluorescence imaging or spectroscopy where operation over many wavelength bands is essential. Compared to most IR materials, Calcium Fluoride has both high average transmission and low chromatic aberration.
