The Optic Inserter Stage allows precise insertion and removal of optical mounts into and out of a beam path. These stages serve a very similar function to a kinematic base but have the advantage of keeping your hand out of the beam path. The Stage’s linear motion is guided by precision ball bearings and positioned with adjustable/lockable magnetic stops. A long rod is used to move the stage between its two stopping points.
stage to reduce friction and guide precise linear translation. Although the guide ways are externally loaded to eliminate unwanted runout, friction remains low to provide smooth travel over the entire travel range.
Easier to use than a Kinematic Base
The LNS-1 stage allows you to precisely slide optics into your beam path to an exact controllable location and then easily remove them when not needed. The long rod keeps your hands away from the beam path. Two AJS8-100-0.5
adjustment screws are pre-installed for fine adjustments of end positions.
The Right Optical Axis Height
LNS-1 stages are easy to configure to your exact optical axis height. Optical pedestals, like the PX or PS series, easily mount to the base to the stage and precision spacers can get you to nonstandard heights. Use Q-TMS series post holders if variable height is needed.
Used to Fix Refractive Beam Displacement
When an optical beam is split using a non-cube optic, refraction will cause the input beam to be displaced from the transmitted beam. If the beam splitting optic is removed from the beam path, the transmitted beam will not be in the same location.
