Features
High NA Available
Bend-insensitive, single-mode sensor grade fibers, available with 820, 1310, and 1550 nm cutoff wavelengths, feature a high NA of 0.16, making them suitable for tightly wound fiber spools for a variety of sensing applications. At 1310 nm, for example, the maximum bend induced attenuation, due to 100 fiber turns on a 10 mm mandrel, is only 0.05 dB!
Reduced Cladding Diameter Fiber Available
Both 80 and 125 µm cladding diameters are available, with bend insensitivity increasing with smaller fiber diameter. These fibers are commonly used in fiber optic gyroscope assemblies or in optical fiber payout systems. The reduced cladding diameter fibers are designed to reduce static fatigue when the fiber is coiled, giving a longer mechanical lifetime in small coil diameters. Reduced cladding diameter fibers are offered with a high NA to benefit both from improved bend losses and improved mechanical lifetime when coiled tightly.
Custom Singlemode Patch Cables
Use Model Number F-PATCH-CUSTOM to configure a custom fiber-optic patch cord using these fibers. You can specify the fiber type, length, jacketing, and input and output connectors.
