Integrating sphere port frame size adapters mount onto a port frame to change the port frame diameter. This allows accessories designed for other port frame sizes to be used with existing port frames.

What is a Port Frame Reducer?
A port frame reducer is a fixture that mounts onto a port frame of an integrating sphere, effectively reducing the frame and the port size to a specified diameter. Unlike a port reducer, a port frame reducer has a flange so that an additional sphere accessory can be mounted. Currently, barium sulfate (spectraflect), and flat black coated port frame reducers are available. Use them for for both the barium sulfate spheres and the PTFE (spectralon) based integrating spheres.
Flat Black Coating
These port frame size adapters are available not only in barium sulfate, or diffused gold, but also in Flat Black type coating in some cases. Flat Black type highly absorbs light and is used to imitate an open port, which does not have any reflection, and reduces introduction of ambient light into the sphere.
